Children swap the interchangeable pieces to build their own character, then name what that character is feeling and why — turning an abstract idea like "embarrassed" into something they can see and rearrange.

Build a character, then swap hairstyles and clothing for a new look
Identify emotions — angry, frightened, embarrassed, sad, happy — and mirror the expressions together
Play "photofit": build a character purely from a verbal description
Trace the finished figure on paper and draw it in a different mood
